Chapter 11

The weekend seemed to fly by. Aunt Carla freaked when she came home to a house full of shifters. It took some convincing but Chloe and I finally got her to relax and see that we weren’t in any danger. At least not when it came to the wolves.

The boys were at our house almost the entire weekend. It was fun and watching Chloe continuously try to get a reaction from Falcon was unbelievably entertaining. She did everything she could to annoy him and he did everything he could to look indifferent. In turn, he annoyed her. It was like watching a one-sided soap opera. But she has vowed to make him crack and actually talk to her, or hell, yell at her. She really didn’t care either way.

We were late entering the parking lot after classes. Chloe had to pick up some work packets from her teachers in order to catch up. I was excited to see Connell and knew he was outside waiting for me. But, what I saw when entering the lot had me falter mid step and also had my jaw clenched so tight I thought my teeth would crack.

Conner and Falcon were leaning against my car. Masks of disinterest covered their handsome faces as Stacy flaunted herself in front of them. Chloe and I stopped and watched as she attempted to get their attention.

“Is this chick for real?” Chloe sounded as irritated as I felt.

“Yup.” Stacy was wearing a much too tight baby tee and a denim skirt that couldn’t possibly abide by the dress code. I could smell the acrid stench of desperation from here.

“Well that’s unbelievably embarrassing. It’s like watching a train wreck, yet I just can’t seem to look away.”

Chloe’s comment brought a smile to my face, but it slipped away pretty quick when the tramp decided to take her flirting to a whole new level. She placed a hand on both Connell and Falcon. She felt up their chests with a sultry smile. They had no reaction to her, but me? Oh I had a reaction alright. I saw red. Ogling from afar I can handle. Touching? Hell no.

My legs seemed to move on their own accord. They placed me approximately five feet from the little trollop.

“I would suggest that you remove your hand from my man before you find yourself missing a limb.” The menacing voice that came out was unrecognizable to my ears. Stacy peered toward Chloe and me with a smirk.

“I would do what she says Barbie. And while you’re at it, remove your other hand.” Chloe was seething as well and gestured toward Falcon.

Stacy raised a perfectly plucked brow. “Oh I think they can decide who touches them and who doesn’t. They’re big boys.” She looked up at Con and Fal. “Very big,” she giggled.

The guys were anything but impressed. “I am about ten seconds from ripping your hair out.”

“Easy, A Thaisće. I am only yours.” He took a sideways step causing her hand to fall away.
